Mrs Mowl's group

Start with practising counting from different starting points, can you count...

  • from 6 to 39?
  • from 17 to 28?
  • from 20 to 0?
  • from 5 to 6?

Today I am going to introduce doubling. When we double something, it means to add the same amount. If I wanted to double 2, I could use my fingers to find the answer by holding two fingers on one hand and 2 fingers on the other hand. I would then count all the fingers which would give me the answer 4. It would look like the picture below.

Use your fingers to complete these sentences;

Double 3 is

Double 5 is

Double 1 is

Double 2 is

Double 4 is

Join in with this doubles rap.
