Good Morning! Let's begin today with a recap of the sounds we have already learnt. As your grown up points to graphemes on the mat below, can you say the sound that they each make?

Today we are going to learn two new graphemes, shown below.

 

ll          ss

 

These graphemes are both digraphs. Remember that a digraph is where we see two letters but they only make one sound. Both digraphs make the same sounds as the single letter sounds l and s, we just need to remember that we only say the sound one time.
